Down the Rabbit Hole

I’m finding many of my projects inspired by Lewis Carrol this month. Recently the making of a Memorydex card for a few swaps.

This fun MDX was inspired by some awesome designs by Digital Curio and JaneyBJournals. Mixing traditional scrapbooking papers along with printable designs and papers are quickly becoming a fun way to build pages and projects! Because the backs of printable papers are usually blank or white, depending on what you print on, I also covered the back of the card.

There’s a little pocket to tuck little notes and info for my friends. The journey down the rabbit hole continues. New goals for 2022 and keeping on task is something I’d like to focus on. Thank you for popping in! Until the next time!

Art Journal Entry, January

The first entry for 2022 in my art journal. It’s a fun page built using paper scraps, gelli plate prints, washi tape and some rice paper that was accumulating in my paper scraps bin. These were adhered with multi matte medium. Once dry, I grabbed my Distress Crayons, a water spritz bottle and a water brush and began to add and build color. The numbers are white card stock cut using a die cutting machine and before adhering I created a simple edge design with dots and dashes. Simple but it has impact I think!

What is Art Journaling? The simplest answer is, it’s a diary of your “art”. It can be full of techniques you’re practicing, it can be your expression of emotions and feelings thru art, it can just BE. It doesn’t really need a definition. There are no rules, no rights and no wrongs, it can be very personal or public. An Art Journal IS permission to play, create and explore.

So it’s 2022, give yourself person to create and enjoy yourself 🙂

Casefile No. 378

10 years ago, I started a fun amazing journey. I was on a design team for a fabulous blog called, CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration . These incredible supportive group of women came into my life at a time when I needed it most. I haven’t been on the Design Team for several years so imagine the surprise and delighted when Debbi put out the word that she was looking for past designers to help celebrate their 10 year birthday!! Birthdays are such fun to celebrate and a 10 year birthday in the scrap booking world is AWESOME. If you feel like playing along or need a push to get some scrap booking done, CSI is a fun place to start! Here’s this months case file, (below) and my interpretation above! To create the layout I turned to digi papers, specifically Wonderland Graphic Bundle, by DigitalCurio on Etsy.

Here’s my first case file from 10 years ago!! Enjoy and thank you for stopping by!
