It swap time for me again. I’ve signed up for several themes and each time I swear I’ll only sign up for three. But the group I play in always has such cute themes and ideas. How can one resist?? One of the swap themes is Beach. Now the ladies always provide inspiration pictures for us and this months was fabulous. Warm sandy beach, cool waters.. it’s very serene. It pulled me in. Everything was ready to rock and roll, pulled up the details one more time and caught “please use the color palette shown”. Uh oh. So I quietly put my papers away and scratched my head. Now what? Well go to Pinterest and look for inspiration!!!
Here’s what I found browsing pinterest. This blog called A Window to My Scrapping World. Rachael Funnell created a beautiful layout using Kaisercraft paper line “Sandy Toes”… and then she made a TAG. The tag is what really grabbed my attention. She layered her papers and embellishments so nicely. Not to mention the texture and color. This is what I wanted to achieve, so printed my copy of the the color palette, dug out my stencils, dies and what few scraps of Sandy Toes that I had. Pulled out the cut little picture embellishment by Paper House and the rest is history.
Here’s our color palette by Design Seeds.
It’s time to get back to work, there is tweaking to do to this. Not to mention, four-five more swap themes to complete. Thanks for stopping by!
